URGENT: LOST COCKATIEL IN CHIPPENDALE / REDFERN / SURRY HILLS Our beloved pet cockatiel, Lily, flew out from a high-rise on Little Queen Street, Chippendale this afternoon (Saturday) [historical_weather]. The wind was blowing East, meaning she likely glided over Regent Street toward the Redfern terraced houses, Prince Alfred Park, or the edge of Surry Hills. • Name: Lily • Appearance: Soft cinnamon/brownish-grey body, bright yellow face, white wing patches, and bright orange cheeks. (Hand-raised and very tame). • Behavior: She will be hiding silently on a balcony, roof gutter, or tree tonight. At first light (Sunday morning around 5:45 AM), she will wake up hungry and start whistling loudly to find us. If you live in Chippendale, Redfern, or Surry Hills, please check your balconies, courtyards, and window sills tomorrow morning. If you hear loud, persistent bird whistling or see her, please do not chase her. Offer a cracker or some seed, gently guide her inside, and call me immediately!
