Lost male dog, Sunny - white and brown mixed breed

Victoria, Australia

Sunny is a lovely boy. White and tan. Mixed breed cattle x border collie with a staffy look about him. Microchipped and registered with Young nsw council. Male 3.5 yrs could be desexed now as he was sent to a rescue STARTING OVER in Victoria, by the Deniliquin council ranger , in the xmas period of 25 without my final consent. I was going to pick up Sunny after informing the ranger I would be doing this on the Thursday, but he apologised and said Sunny has been picked up by the rescue. I was devastated. Nothing was signed no money paid and it was within the timeframe that a dog is allowed to be kept at the pound. ( I found out about this council law later) Nothing was mentioned about the timeframe by the Ranger. We had many conversations about Sunny in that short period of time. I trusted the ranger never thinking I would be deceived in this way. I rang the ranger with questions why did he do this ? Everything was rushed because of xmas... However he didn't return my calls he literally shut me down. I've been contacting council through emails and phone calls. Even rang my member for parliament until the council finally gave me the name of the rescue. The rescue told me my boy has been adopted in January and they can't give me any further details due to their privacy laws . What about my rights , I have none. I'm trying to fight a system that's really screwed up. Who did he go too is he being treated with love and care? I have a lot of questions but no answers. Sunny is a happy friendly dog very affectionate. What else can I tell you only that if I hadn't had a health issue in Deniliquin none of this would have happened. And Sunny would still be with me. Thankyou for all your help in finding Sunny.
