Male Red-Sided Eclectus parrot, young bird. Bright emerald green all over, with an orange upper beak, blue and red under the wings, and dark blue and black in the flight feathers and tail. Slim build, long tail. He is hand-raised and very tame. He answers to his name and chirps back when you say 'Duku'. He flew off from our backyard at Gordon Place, Parkinson, on the afternoon of Saturday 25 July. He has never flown outdoors before, so he would not have known where he was heading. He is most likely still within a few kilometres. He will be hungry by now and may fly down to someone who calls his name and holds an arm up. Please do not chase him. Call 0480 749 075 and keep an eye on where he goes.
