3 year old Male Silver Rosette Bengal. Microchipped (updated details), no collar at time of disappearance from Highett - near Station. Slight build for a male Bengal. Is vary of new people but is used to roaming near regular home in Elizabeth/Collins St Mentone. Was staying inside in Highett for 1 week while recovering from a sore paw. He was feeling better one night & opened the bedroom door & escaped out back door (left open for 5mins!) & over the back fence. Neighbours surrounding property have been notified & posters up from Highett to Mentone. Photos also up on Facebook & recently the Nextdoor neighbour app. Phoenix is a therapy cat to my 15yr old daughter who has extreme anxiety & they sleep together every night. We have been trying to get out for as many late night walks as possible although it’s hard as 2 females to go far. No sightings in direct area except possibly at the back of the shops on the other side of Highett Rd 2 weeks ago. There had been a lot of sightings of a similar cat in the Charman Rd/Park Rd Cheltenham area - this is a local Bengal cat. I think Phoenix could remain self sufficient, but does like being around dogs & other domestic animals so will hopefully remain in a residential area. He is a strikingly beautiful cat - like a Snow Leopard so would attract interest however due to his nature & intelligence I don’t think he could stay captured in captivity for too long!!! He also is extremely loving to the few people he lets into his ‘circle’ but is otherwise wary of people and is definitely not a lap cat! His best friend besides my daughter is a 3yr old Staffy dog we got at the same time as Phoenix as a pup. Thank you so much for whatever support you can give us in helping find our very missed little boy. He is beautiful but was brought into our family because of his low allergy coat and how he bonds closely with family members, the closest cat to a dog!
