Missing Blue Budgie in Thornbury Area!

Darebin, Victoria

LOST BUDGIE IN THORNBURY (Clarendon St) Hi everyone, I’m looking for my blue budgie who went missing on Sunday evening. He’s very friendly, used to people, and is quite interactive—he’ll often seek out humans. He may respond to the name Sima, so if you call him, he might come to you! Last seen around Clarendon St, Thornbury. If anyone spots him or has any information, please message me. I’m really hoping to bring him home soon! Thank you so much for your help!

Shared to Lost Birds of Victoria (Australia) 💜 Some suggestions - go out looking for your bird at dusk and dawn and play budgie vocalisations on your phone. Also put up posters around your neighbourhood and surrounding areas in shopping areas and parks. Budgies can fly up to 1km per day and tend to fly Eastwards with the prevailing winds so focus on that direction. Also contact local vets and councils and all bird vets 💜 Good luck 💜🙏🤞. Call all local Primary Vets also including any Avian Vets in your area and beyond. Call all animal rescues, shelters, RSPCA, wildlife carers and bird clubs in your area and beyond. Door knock the neighbourhood and put out flyers and post on other lost pet pages and all local community pages as well. Ask neighbours and people in your area if they can check their security cameras for any signs of your bird. Actively look for the bird from just before sunrise to just after sunset every day. Birds dont often come back on their own so you have to actively keep searching. See full comment
