Medium sized domestic shorthair male, with tuxedo markings and no collar. .... He was hiding in our garage for days before he was found on the 26th of October, but had been a stray we had seen around for weeks prior. He readily came out for food and water when called. He loves cheek rubs, and getting under your feet in the kitchen. He also uses the kitty litter, so belonged to someone at some point. ... His fur is dirty, greasy, and patchy. You can see his bones and has scars along his neck, shoulders and back. One can assume he has been on the streets for a while. ... He is settling in well with our own older female cat, so may have lived with other cats in his previous home or in a herd on the streets. .... His expectation of food when he sees humans, the way and amount he eats makes me think that he might be visiting multiple homes for survival or being fed by feral cat caretakers. ............................................................. UPDATE: With the very much appreciated assistance of the local Cat Lady, we now know that he doesnt have a microchip. I think the plan forward is to remove all Lost/Found notices looking for his owner, as even if they were found - I wouldnt feel right in handing him back over to them. The housemate and I will be having *that* conversation this evening about whether or not we keep him, and work towards socialising him into being an inside cat. Alternatively, finding an organisation that can provide vaccination, microchipping & de-sexing to find his forever home.
